Eunice Ray

President

Eunice Ray is the President of First Principles Press.  She was appointed by Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney to the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Service. The DACOWITS is the principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense on issues related to women in the military.  She co-founded RSVPAmerica, a national grassroots campaign to Restore Social Virtue and Purity to America.  She has authored and published training and educational materials for activist groups to reach educators, legislators and parents.  She campaigns for health and wellness and makes regular presentations to groups on the harmful effects to them, their children and the environment from toxins that are plentiful in society. Mrs. Ray lives with her family on a farm in Kentucky.

Linda Jeffrey, Ed.D., BS, MS, PA

Director of Research

Dr. Linda Jeffrey serves as the Director of Research at First Principles Press.  Since April, 2000, she has coordinated the data collection and analysis efforts for FPP, including most recently the Ronald D. Ray Library of American History and the FPP Archive. She received her Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Louisville, and also holds a Master of Science degree in genetics, a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, and a Physician Assistant degree.  Dr. Jeffrey has taught in public and private schools, and adult training programs in allied health. Her recent published works include Comfort and Joy: How to Receive Healing Beyond Grief and Loss and Appetite for God, as well as co-authoring Dr. Deanna’s Healing Handbook.

Colonel Ronald D. Ray

In Memoriam

Colonel Ronald D. Ray (1942-2020) was a practicing attorney in Kentucky and a highly decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam War (two Silver Stars, a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart).  He served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense during the Reagan Administration and was appointed by President Bush to serve on the American Battle Monuments Commission (1991-1994), and on the 1992 Presidential Commission on the Assignment of Women in the Armed Forces.  From 1990 through 1994, he served as Military Historian and Deputy Director of Field Operations for the U.S. Marine Corps Historical Center, Washington, D.C. Colonel Ray and his wife Eunice worked together through First Principles, Inc. for several decades, up until his death in 2020. Read more about Colonel Ray’s life and accomplishments here.
